Five Nights at Roner's 2 launched on May 23, 2024 and later became free-to-play in early 2025. The developer, Roane Vaydich, has announced two pieces of unshipped content for the game: a full revamp update (rebuilding the game from scratch due to lost source files) and the Nightclub DLC, described as a story expansion exploring the character Duane's backstory. Both were announced on May 15, 2025. However, the developer has been candid that both the revamp and the DLC have been put on hold while they focus on developing Five Nights at Roner's 3, which already has a Steam store page (listed June 17, 2025) and a demo planned. As of October 20, 2025 — the last developer communication — FNaR 3 was confirmed to be well underway, but there was no update on when FNaR 2's revamp or Nightclub DLC would resume.
