Evaluation
Fly Punch Boom! launched on May 28, 2020 and has received a small number of post-launch updates over its lifetime. The most notable post-launch addition was Workshop support (June 26, 2020), which allowed players to create and share custom characters. A smaller feature patch followed in October 2022 adding expanded scale options for custom characters.
The most significant recent update came on February 10, 2025, when the developer shipped crossplay support, bringing all console and mobile platforms into the same online pool as PC players. This was described as requiring "a massive amount of work." A save hotfix followed on February 16, 2025.
The developer's news activity from 2023 onward was largely focused on their separate game RoboDunk, with Fly Punch Boom! posts used mainly for community events, tournaments, and sales promotions. No future content has been announced for Fly Punch Boom!, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The February 2025 crossplay update appears to represent the conclusion of meaningful development, with no signals pointing to additional content on the horizon. The developer has not explicitly stated the game is complete, but there are no outstanding commitments or announced plans for further updates.
Evidence
Crossplay launched across all consoles and mobile platforms. Developer described this as requiring massive work and celebrated more players being online.
Workshop support added one month after launch, enabling custom character creation and sharing.

"Fly Punch Boom! is pure hyperactive anime-style fighting madness fused with Looney Tunes exuberance, where two combatants take to the air to pummel each other into cartoony piles of pulp.[...] The goal isn’t just to win, but to have a blast being as over-the-top as possible while doing it." -- Hardcore Gamer
"If you know anything about Dragon Ball Z, you're probably know it for the moments of mountain-shattering, world-cracking, energy-unleashing fighting. But beyond the actual licensed games, few games have attempted to capture the destruction and dynamic nature of those fights[...] Fly Punch Boom looks like it could change that." -- IndieGamesPlus
