Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena launched on Steam on July 28, 2016. In the months following release, Studio Saizensen issued a series of patches addressing bugs, online matchmaking, leaderboard issues, and controller support, along with a demo update in October 2016. The final update of note was on March 27, 2017, when the developer added Simplified Chinese language support to Story Mode — the last substantive content addition on record. No DLC was ever listed on the store, no expansion or additional content was announced, and the game shipped as a complete, fixed-roster 2D fighting game with 16 characters across four game modes.
