Koihime Enbu RyoRaiRai launched on July 12, 2018 and received its first major paid content update, Version 3, as DLC on April 22, 2021 — adding a new playable character and a new strategist character.
On March 10, 2023, the developer announced a beta test for a balance update (Version 3.5), explicitly noting that additional characters as DLC were also planned but would be released separately. The Version 3.5 balance patch shipped on March 29, 2023, and that post again stated: "Additional DLC characters will be announced at a later date."
Since then, the only official communications have been two minor technical bug fixes posted on June 11 and June 12, 2024. Neither mentions the promised DLC characters. No announcement, release date, or further update on those characters has been made.
As of June 27, 2026, the developer has publicly committed to releasing additional DLC characters but has gone silent on the topic since March 2023 — over three years ago. The promised content remains undelivered and unacknowledged in any subsequent communication, creating meaningful uncertainty about whether those plans are still being pursued.
