Street Fighter 6 launched on June 2, 2023 and has been on an uninterrupted annual content cycle ever since. Capcom delivers four new playable characters per year through a Character Pass / Ultimate Pass model, with each character releasing on a seasonal schedule alongside balance patches, cosmetics, and new gameplay modes.
Year 1 (2023), Year 2 (2024–2025), and Year 3 (2025–2026) have all fully delivered their four characters. Year 4 is now actively in progress: the Year 4 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass went on sale June 5, 2026, and the full Year 4 roster was announced on June 6, 2026 — comprising Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa (from Final Fantasy VII Remake), and Bosch.
Yasmine, the first Year 4 character, released on August 3, 2026 — just two weeks before this assessment. The announced release schedule places Arjun in Autumn 2026, Tifa in Early 2027, and Bosch in Spring 2027, meaning three of the four Year 4 characters are still to come. Capcom's most recent developer communication was the Yasmine launch post on August 3, 2026.
The game also continues to receive feature additions alongside character drops — most recently, the Random Avatar Matches and Avatar Arcade modes added in May 2026, and Battle HUD customization in December 2025. There is no indication from Capcom that Year 4 is the final year of support.
Evidence
Yasmine, the first Year 4 character, launched on August 3, 2026, with Fighter Coin purchase option and automatic delivery to Year 4 pass holders.
Capcom announced the full Year 4 roster: Yasmine (Summer 2026), Arjun (Autumn 2026), Tifa from Final Fantasy VII Remake (Early 2027), and Bosch (Spring 2027). Three characters remain unreleased.
