Forgotton Anne

Forgotton Anne launched on May 15, 2018 as a self-contained cinematic adventure game. Following launch, the developer shipped several feature and localization patches through May 30, 2019 (adding languages, Mac support, a free demo, and quality-of-life improvements), after which all post-launch support activity ceased. Both DLC items — a Collector's Upgrade (released at launch on May 15, 2018) and a standalone Soundtrack (released July 5, 2022) — are fully available. There are no unreleased DLC items on the store, and no roadmap or announcement of additional content for Forgotton Anne itself has ever been made. On March 19, 2026, Throughline Games released Forgotlings — a separate game set in the same universe, serving as a prequel/sequel with a new protagonist. The release post includes a note that "Anne's story isn't over," but this appears to be flavour text gesturing toward the broader fictional universe rather than a concrete commitment to new content for the original Forgotton Anne game. No specific additional content for Forgotton Anne has been announced as a result. Forgotton Anne launched and concluded as a complete, standalone narrative product. The game's story has a definitive ending and was clearly designed as a finished experience from the outset.
