Frogun launched on August 2, 2022 and received a series of post-launch patches through October 6, 2022 addressing bugs, quality-of-life improvements, and balancing. In that final patch (version 1.92.2), the developer explicitly described it as "the last big update to Frogun" and stated it "should solve all known bugs." That same post mentioned the developer had already started work on a new project — which turned out to be Frogun Encore, a full sequel announced on March 17, 2023 and released on June 25, 2024. On September 23, 2025, the developer announced their next new game, Twinkle's Galactic Tour, a separate title entirely. Both DLC items (the soundtrack and artbook) released on launch day. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no outstanding content commitments for Frogun itself, and the developer's attention has fully moved on to new projects. Frogun shipped as a complete product and received its final content update on October 6, 2022.

Renata's parents are world-renown explorers, archeologists and inventors that travel all over the world uncovering the secrets of the past, bringing her with them in their expeditions. However, in their latest adventure, they decide to leave her at the base camp - the Beelzebub ruins are said to be too dangerous!
For three whole days she waits, her pride hurt and bored out of her mind, until she realized: if they haven't returned yet, something must have happened to them! In a hurry she grabs her parents' last invention, the Frogun, and heads to the ruins to rescue them, and prove that she's as capable as them!
