Front Defense: Heroes launched in May 2019 and received a solid run of post-launch content updates. The developer shipped multiple major updates adding new maps, weapons, avatars, game modes, and server regions throughout 2018 and 2019. The most recent developer communication of any kind was the v1.7 update on July 31, 2020, which adjusted the Defense Mode ruleset and tweaked weapon balance across several maps.
Since July 31, 2020, there have been no further news posts, patch notes, or developer communications — nearly six years of silence as of today (June 27, 2026). The store description contains a note saying "The development team is working hard on delivering the free locomotion, more weapons, maps, and game modes!" — however, smooth locomotion was already implemented (as prominently noted at the top of the store page), and the remaining promises in that line appear to reference work that was either fulfilled by subsequent updates or quietly dropped. No specific unshipped content is listed anywhere on the store.
There are no unreleased DLC entries, no active roadmap, and no developer statement about future plans after July 2020. The extended silence well beyond the historical update cadence (which was roughly every 1–6 months during the active period) strongly indicates the game is no longer receiving content. The game launched as a finished product for purchase and remains available on the store in its current state.

Front Defense: Heroes allows you to play alone or team up with friends:
Solo - Join a match or fight alongside against AI bots.
Multiplayer - Form teams and fight against each other in epic battles supporting up to 5v5. Discuss tactics through real time voice chat and win through strategic teamwork.
Combat Modes:
Free-For-All: Players fight against each other by wiping out as many enemies as possible. There are no allies.
Team Deathmatch: Join or form your own team and win by killing enemies on the opposing team within the time limit.
Offense and Defense:The two sides take turns playing offense and defense. The offensive team needs to have tactics to destroy a designated target at full force while the defensive team needs to guard their base and fight-off their opponents.

Locomotion Controls:
We developed the unique V-locomotion, which gives players a 3rd-person, out-of-body experience in controlling their avatar through the battlefield. This highlights the immersion of tactical movement for covering each other and fighting the battles strategically.
However, you prefer smooth locomotion that is also an option in the game setting menu.
