Front Lines

Front Lines has been in Early Access since June 17, 2019 and remains there today. The game received a steady stream of updates through its first year: multiple major content drops through 2019 added new fighter types, maps, campaign missions, and sandbox features, culminating in the 3.2 update on April 26, 2020, which introduced a Creative Mode map editor. Alongside that final update period, the developer posted on February 14, 2020 announcing that a 4.0 update was in development, promising "significant improvements to gameplay mechanics, new features, and a brand new game mode." That update was never released. The last developer communication of any kind was the 3.2 update post on April 26, 2020. There have been no patches, announcements, or developer posts in the more than six years since then. The game remains listed on Steam as an Early Access title with an active purchase option, but the promised 4.0 content has not arrived and the developer has gone completely silent. Anyone waiting for the game to reach its 1.0 release or for the announced 4.0 update should be aware that development appears to have stalled with no explanation from the developer.
