Frost

Frost launched on July 5, 2016 and received four major free content updates over its first year: "Frostbite & Beliefs" (September 7, 2016), "Beyond the Wall" (November 1, 2016), "Fresh Start & Companions" (April 15, 2017), and "Winds of Change" (June 21, 2017). On August 16, 2017, the developer explicitly stated that "Revolution Edition" was "the last content update for Frost," marking the conclusion of planned development for the original game. The developer has since resurfaced with activity focused on a sequel rather than new content for Frost itself. A July 5, 2026 anniversary post announced that a sequel — codenamed "Fröst" — was in development, with the developer citing resource concerns and floating the idea of a Kickstarter campaign to fund it. On September 22, 2026, the developer formally announced that the Frost 2 Kickstarter campaign will launch on October 13, 2026, and that a Steam page for Frost 2 is already live. All of this sequel activity is for a separate, new game. None of these posts announce new content for the original Frost. The original game remains content-complete as of August 16, 2017, exactly as the developer stated at the time.
