Games&Girls

Games&Girls is an episodic visual novel that launched its first episode on April 18, 2017. The developer released episodes at roughly annual intervals: Episode 2 as paid DLC on September 11, 2017, Episode 3 on October 1, 2018, and Episode 4 on September 23, 2019. Episode 5 was released for free on October 21, 2021 — notably about two years after Episode 4, a longer gap than the earlier ~12-month cadence. Since Episode 5, the developer has not released any further episodes or announced any additional content for Games&Girls. The most recent post from the developer, dated September 26, 2023, was a cross-promotion for their new game "My Ex Sister in Law," with no mention of future Games&Girls content. The store description originally advertised "some free episodes are planned," but Episode 5 appears to have fulfilled that promise and no commitments beyond it have been stated. The developer's attention has clearly shifted to a new title, and the silence on Games&Girls content has extended well past the established release cadence. The game appears to be complete as of the Episode 5 release in October 2021.
