Garden In! launched on January 26, 2023 and has received a consistent stream of meaningful free updates from developer Dramatic Iceberg. Major content drops include the Spring Update (April 14, 2023), the Holiday Update 1.2.0 (December 22, 2023), the First Anniversary Update 1.3.0 (January 26, 2024), and the Second Anniversary Update 1.4.0 (January 30, 2025). Each brought new plants, themed decoration packs, quality-of-life features, and other additions. Smaller maintenance patches have continued after those, including a Linux update on April 3, 2025. This establishes a clear pattern of major updates arriving roughly every 6–12 months. The last major update was on January 30, 2025. As of today (October 1, 2026), that is approximately 20 months ago — beyond the upper end of the historical 6–12 month cadence window. This is worth noting, but the developer has not announced the end of support. In November 2025, they actively submitted the game for the Steam Awards "Labor of Love" category, signaling continued pride in the game's ongoing development as recently as November 24, 2025. The developer has made no statement that updates have concluded. The two available DLC items (the Soundtrack and Artbook, both released January 26, 2024) are supplementary content and represent no unshipped commitments. No future content has been explicitly announced, but the developer's track record of anniversary-aligned updates and their Labor of Love nomination suggest they have not walked away from the game.
