Gears Tactics launched on April 28, 2020 and received one major post-launch content update on November 10, 2020, which added Jack as a playable character with 27 skills, new Deviant enemy types, and a Supreme equipment tier. A bug fix patch followed on December 1, 2020, and a final maintenance patch shipped on March 23, 2021. Since then, there have been no further updates to Gears Tactics itself. The store listing has no unreleased DLC, and the "New content" reference in the store description refers to the Jack update that has already shipped. The two most recent news posts on this page (from March 2026 and August 2026) are announcements and beta information for an entirely separate game, Gears of War: E-Day, not Gears Tactics. The developer has made no announcements of additional content for Gears Tactics, and the game's development activity concluded in early 2021.
