Gem Defender: Soyjak Survivors launched on October 23, 2023 and received two major content updates: Update 2 on March 1, 2024 (adding five new worlds and eight new weapons), and the Soy Requiem expansion on February 21, 2025 (adding four new worlds, four new weapons, and a collaboration with BadlandsChugs). On September 4, 2025, the developer explicitly stated "there will be no more content updates for this game," confirming that development has concluded. The studio noted it has moved on to working on something new. The game shipped as a complete, finite experience and has now received all the post-launch content the developer planned. The only DLC — the official soundtrack — was released on November 23, 2023 and is available on Steam.

About this game

The land of Shartaia has just lost its last Gem. No one knows where it went except for Dr. Soystein, who's working on an evil plan in the Mental Asoylum. As Chud, a fearless lone wolf, you're out to save the world. Power through Soystein's nefarious army of 'jaks and take down the Asoylum in this atmospheric, gut-wrenching, jaw-clenching, slow burn, quasi-ironic survival shooter.
