Gemini Wars launched on November 2, 2012 as a complete single-player strategy game featuring a 16-mission campaign, skirmish mode, and multiplayer. On May 29, 2017, the developer (Camel 101) posted a farewell-style update announcing that they would be removing the game's DRM and shutting down its multiplayer servers on August 1, 2017, citing that virtually no one was playing online anymore. The post explicitly thanked players for their time with the game, signaling the end of any active support.
Since then, Camel 101 has moved on to other projects. Developer news from February 2023 and October 2025 relates entirely to a different game called "Beneath" — a new title the studio has been developing. There is no indication of any planned updates, new content, or ongoing development for Gemini Wars itself. The game has been finished and unchanged since August 2017.
