Geometry Dash

Geometry Dash has been in continuous active development since its 2014 launch, with RobTop Games consistently delivering updates over the years. The two most recent major content releases were Update 2.2 (December 20, 2023) — a sweeping release adding a new game mode, platformer levels, hundreds of icons, new collectables, and major editor improvements — and Update 2.207 (November 8, 2024), which added event levels, new achievements, and song trigger options. On January 19, 2026, developer RubRub shipped Update 2.208 focused on quality-of-life improvements and explicitly stated: "Update 2.209 will follow soon with additional community-requested features. The next major content update is actively in development and progressing well." Then, on September 15, 2026 — just two days before this assessment — the developer posted an official trailer for Update 2.209 announcing it is "coming very soon." This is concrete, current evidence of imminent content. Beyond 2.209, the developer has already signaled that a larger major update is in the pipeline. The game is clearly far from complete.
