GhoulScrapers launched on September 5, 2024 as a complete precision platformer. On the same day as launch, the developer (ShortCake) posted a welcome message explicitly stating: "At the time of writing this, we have no plans to introduce content updates." They clarified that post-release activity would be limited to quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. This is a clear, direct statement that the game shipped as a finished product with no further content intended.
True to that commitment, the developer has since released three patches (September 11, 2024; January 24, 2025; and February 16, 2025) focused on quality-of-life features and bug fixes — things like save progress, a jukebox for the soundtrack, binoculars for level viewing, and achievement corrections. None of these represent new game content, consistent with what was announced. There have been no announcements of DLC, expansions, or future content of any kind.
