About this game

Take Command of the Modern World

Global Protocol: New World Order is a data-driven grand strategy game set in the world of 2026. Pick any of 221 countries, from global superpowers to fragile states, and steer it through modern economics, politics, diplomacy, and war, alone or with friends online.

Every country starts with real-world data: GDP, population, military strength, alliances, resources, and political systems. What happens next is up to you.

Every Nation, Your Way

Lead the United States and maintain global hegemony, guide Brazil through economic transformation, or take on the ultimate challenge with a fragile state fighting for survival. Each country has its own difficulty rating, and you decide how warlike the AI should be, from Peaceful to Armageddon.

A Nation That Pushes Back

Your economy, your politics, and your people are tied together. Inflation and unemployment move voters, young adults without jobs fuel unrest, and a failing government can fall to a coup or a revolution. Every nation has a full population pyramid: people are born, age, migrate, and vote, while your laws, healthcare, and education shape how long they live and how many children they have.

Choose Your Path

Steer your country's ideological and technical future through the Knowledge Network. Each tier demands a difficult trade-off: picking one rival doctrine permanently locks out the other two.

Shape the Global Order

Negotiate trade deals, forge and break alliances, open embassies, and send envoys to win friends or meddle in elections. Push sanctions through the UN Security Council under the shadow of the P5 veto, or wage economic war with trade wars, currency manipulation, and debt-trap loans. Behind the scenes, your intelligence agencies steal technology, sabotage rivals, and fund opposition parties abroad.

The world won't wait for you. Every AI nation follows its own personality and a grand strategy it rethinks each year, while domestic crises and scripted events drawn from 2026 flashpoints keep the pressure on.

Command Your Forces

Deploy everything from infantry and armor to drones, destroyers, and submarines. Base air wings at airfields and on carriers, ship armies across oceans for amphibious landings, and keep the oil and manpower flowing. Fog of war makes intelligence as valuable as firepower, and when the guns fall silent, war score decides what the peace deal can take.

Nuclear Deterrence

Nine nuclear powers start with arsenals based on real-world estimates, and DEFCON tracks your readiness from Peace to Imminent. Order a nuclear launch and you are at DEFCON 0: Exchange, with no recall. Missile-defense batteries can intercept incoming strikes, and a nuclear power under attack can fire back before your warheads land. Strike first, or hold your arsenal as the ultimate deterrent. Mutual Assured Destruction is not just a theory; it is a game mechanic.

Play Together

Online multiplayer puts up to 8 players in the same world, each leading a nation while the AI runs the rest. Invite friends through Steam and play across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Peace offers from another player wait for your answer, and if a friend drops out, the host can let the AI hold their nation until they rejoin.

Victory on Your Terms

  • Military Hegemony — dominate through territory and unmatched military power

  • Economic Superpower — command the world economy and its trade

  • Diplomatic Leader — lead a broad alliance, win over the major powers, and hold a Security Council seat

  • Technological Ascendancy — lead the world in research

  • Nuclear Deterrence — keep the peace through nuclear strength and a wide network of allies

Or play without a finish line: there is no end date, and you can keep playing after any victory.

Make It Yours

Change countries, doctrines, units, buildings, laws, and events, build your own starting world in the in-game Mod Builder, and share it on the Steam Workshop.
