World Warfare & Economics launched in Early Access in December 2023 and remains explicitly unfinished. The Steam Early Access flag is still active, and the game's own version numbering confirms it has not reached 1.0. The game has a notable backstory: after a troubled initial launch, the solo developer (Okron Studio) made the decision to rebuild the game from scratch, releasing the rebuilt version as a free update on March 1, 2025. The February 2025 announcement explicitly clarified that this relaunch would come in as version 0.88 — still Early Access, not a 1.0 release. Since the rebuild went live, development has been active and consistent. The game has not graduated to 1.0 and remains in Early Access by the Steam flag.
