Goat's Tale (Classic)

Goat's Tale (Classic) launched out of Early Access on January 17, 2022, transitioning to a free-to-play model with a paid DLC ("Goat's Tale Plus") that was released simultaneously on the same date. That DLC is the only add-on listed on the store, and it has been fully released since launch day. Post-launch, the developer shipped a series of feature and maintenance patches through early 2024: noob mode hints (January 2022), DirectX 11 support and new music (June 2022), Steam Deck compatibility (September 2023), and a launcher update (February 22, 2024). None of these introduced new story content or levels — they were improvements and quality-of-life changes. The most significant post-launch communication was a January 6, 2024 announcement for an entirely separate sequel, Goat's Tale Adventure, which is a new game on its own Steam page rather than a content update for this title. The developer described it as "an entirely new experience" with a rebuilt engine — this is a new product, not planned content for Goat's Tale (Classic). The last developer communication directed at this game was the launcher update on February 22, 2024. No further content has been announced for Goat's Tale (Classic), no unreleased DLC exists on the store, and all post-launch updates have been maintenance or compatibility work. The game appears to be a complete, finished product, with the developer having moved focus to sequel titles.
