Evaluation

Goblin Summer Camp launched into Early Access on April 30, 2020 and has been receiving updates since then — including new game modes like Dodgeball (May 2020), DeathRun (August 2021), new maps, cosmetics, and various gameplay improvements. The developer (a solo indie dev) was reasonably active through mid-2021, then went quiet before returning on February 26, 2023 with a post titled "The Goblin King Has Returned!" which added a new Hide and Seek map and re-enabled the Gob Hop mode, and stated an intent to resume updates. However, since that February 26, 2023 post, there have been no further communications of any kind — no patches, no dev logs, no announcements. As of June 2026, that silence spans over three years. The game remains in Early Access and has never received a 1.0 release or any developer statement about its completion. No future content has been announced or listed as unreleased DLC. The developer has not indicated the game is finished, but has also not followed through on the stated intention to resume updates. Given the extended silence and the game's unfinished Early Access status, the development situation is uncertain.

About this game

Goblin Tag: Try to escape into the Goblin Warrens without being caught. Completing each round gives you a choice in upgrades for your runner. Allowing you to be faster, smaller, jump higher or drop deployables. Those who are too slow and are tagged join the opposite team. They now help take down any survivors using whatever upgrades they have already attained.

Single player speed run challenges

These are tests of skill and precision that allow you to unlock cosmetic upgrades for your goblin and most importantly, bragging rights. Times are recorded in game and are shown off in the discord for the top runner.

All the power-ups you gain are multiplicative and last throughout the game. Each mini game has it own reward factor that allows you to add another upgrade to your stack! If you decided to be a full throttle speed goblin you will really feel the power as you apply more and more of the same upgrade. Like to jump? Be like a flea! Stack hopping powers to bound over obstacles and go where no rival goblin can follow you.
