Golden Light

Golden Light launched into full 1.0 release on March 11, 2022, after roughly 1.5 years in Early Access. At launch, the developer (Mr. Pink) noted they were planning post-release content updates based on community suggestions. They delivered on this with the "Home of Mushrooms" Halloween update on October 24, 2022, which added cutscenes, a mushroom village, new weapons, and new enemies — the second and final major content update after 1.0. Since October 2022, there have been no further major content updates to Golden Light itself. The most recent developer activity — a co-op restoration patch on February 24, 2025, and the most recent news post on May 12, 2025 — relates primarily to the developer's new game, Chambers, which launched into Early Access on May 12, 2025. The Golden Light news posts from 2025 are essentially cross-promotion for Chambers, not announcements of new Golden Light content. Both DLC items (the OST and the Supporter Pack) are released. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The developer has made no announcements of additional Golden Light content since October 2022, and with the studio's focus clearly shifted to Chambers, the post-launch content cycle for Golden Light appears to have concluded. The last meaningful content delivery was the Halloween 2022 update, making that the most defensible completion date.
