Evaluation

Gone Golfing launched on November 4, 2020 and received three free DLC expansions in quick succession: Merry Golfmas (December 19, 2020), Golfmare (February 12, 2021), and Gone Fishing (May 3, 2021). The store description explicitly states the game "includes three DLC expansions" and describes all three — matching exactly what has been released. No further DLC or updates have been announced for Gone Golfing itself since May 2021. The developer's attention has since shifted to new projects. In March 2024, Icehelm announced a new horror game called ENDLOOP. In April 2025, they announced Putt Down — a standalone spin-off set in the Gone Golfing universe — and released a demo in May 2025. Putt Down itself fully launched on April 6, 2026. These are separate games, not additional content for Gone Golfing. The store description's phrasing — "includes three DLC expansions" — reads as a complete package description, consistent with no further expansions being planned. The last developer communication specifically about Gone Golfing content was the Gone Fishing release on May 3, 2021, and all three announced DLC packs have shipped. The game appears to be a finished product with its complete content set in place since May 2021.
