Today Is My Birthday launched on October 30, 2020. Following release, Wonder Games shipped three post-launch patches through December 18, 2020, addressing bugs and adding quality-of-life features such as an easy mode and new environment models. The last of these updates (version 1.8) was posted on December 18, 2020, and there have been no further developer communications since that date. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, no roadmap, and no season pass. The game appears to have shipped as a self-contained horror adventure and received a short burst of post-launch polish before going quiet. With no outstanding commitments and no developer activity since December 18, 2020, the game is considered complete.

Wonder Park was once filled with joyous shrieks and laughter, but now it rests in an unsettling silence. In the wake of a devastating earthquake, its decaying figure looms in the distance, replacing pleasant childhood memories with an air of mystery. For Thomas Wilkes, the park holds a very special place in his heart. It is where his father once worked, and where he'd celebrated the majority of his birthdays. Now, after his father's sudden passing, Thomas wants nothing more than to visit the park one last time. He will slip past the rusted gates and unknowingly enter a waking nightmare.
