Grim Clicker launched out of Early Access on January 30, 2024, marking its 1.0 release after a lengthy Early Access period. The developer has continued updating the game regularly since launch. The post-1.0 update cadence is consistent and ongoing. Feature patches have shipped throughout 2024 and 2025: v1.05 on October 28, 2024; v1.06 on July 25, 2025 (adding a continuation path for players who complete all 9 planets); and most recently v1.07 on October 28, 2025 with gameplay improvements and fixes. This is the last recorded developer communication, which was approximately 11 months ago as of today (October 8, 2026). The historical pattern shows feature patches arriving roughly every 3–9 months since launch. Eleven months without a new post is at or slightly beyond the longer end of that window, but the developer has never announced that development is complete or that updates have ended. The store description still references expanding content ("The new content implies new game strategies"), and no conclusion statement has been issued. Given the absence of any developer statement signaling the end of updates, and the long-running pattern of sustained post-launch patches, the game continues to show the characteristics of an actively maintained product. The gap since October 28, 2025 is approaching the outer edge of the established update window, but does not yet clearly indicate abandonment — especially for a free-to-play game with an ongoing shop.
