GW: Legacy

GW: Legacy (GunWorld VR) launched its 1.0 release on October 15, 2023 and had already been receiving substantial updates for years before that. The developer, Alto Interactive, maintained an active and frequent update cadence from at least late 2021 through October 2023, shipping major content updates every few months — including a large PvP Mega Update in July 2023 and a Melee Multiplayer update on October 7, 2023. That October 7, 2023 post is the last official communication from the developer on record. As of June 23, 2026, the developer has been completely silent for over 32 months with no patch notes, announcements, or news posts of any kind. This is dramatically longer than the historical pattern of frequent updates. No reason for this silence has been communicated — the developer has not announced the game is complete, that development has ended, or that the studio is facing any difficulties. The store page remains active and the game is still purchasable. Given the long and unexplained silence following what had been a very active development period, it is unclear whether development is continuing, has quietly ended, or the studio has moved on without announcement.
