Evaluation
GWENT: Rogue Mage launched on July 7, 2022 as a standalone single-player expansion to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. The store description presents it as a complete, self-contained product — a roguelike deckbuilder with a defined campaign, progression system, and difficulty modifiers. There is no mention of planned expansions, seasons, DLC, or post-launch content of any kind.
The developer has posted no meaningful news updates since launch. The two scanned posts contained no developer communications about patches, new content, or future plans. There are no DLC listings and no unreleased content on the store. CD PROJEKT RED has not announced any additional content for this title.
Given that the game launched as a finished, self-contained experience with no post-launch content cycle established and no future content communicated by the developer, this game is best understood as a complete product from its release date.

About this game
GWENT: Rogue Mage is a single-player expansion to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game combining the best elements of roguelike, deckbuilding, and strategy games with the unique mechanics of GWENT card battles.
Hundreds of years before Geralt and other witchers roamed the Continent, the Conjunction of the Spheres brought endless ranks of monsters into the world. Humanity desperately needed a way to fight back the onslaught to survive.
Follow the journey of a young and ambitious mage, Alzur, and his companion Lily, who embark on a dangerous quest to create a living weapon that will eradicate the monster threat once and for all.

No holding back: Battles last only one round, so players will need to use every trick up their sleeve to help Alzur stave off the onslaught.
New resource — energy: Each turn, Alzur can cast powerful spells from his ever-expanding Grimoire by spending energy. It can be replenished between battles by visiting Places of Power or through random encounters on the map.
Turning the tables: Alzur starts at a disadvantage by not being able to react to the opponents’ final card play. By progressing the campaign and unlocking high-end bonuses, players can take complete control of the battle flow.
Every run is different: Once Alzur completes the first two experiments, Curses become unlocked. These flexible difficulty modifiers ramp up the variety in each run, and provide players with a greater challenge every time.
