Rainbow Legends launched on May 6, 2026 as a complete 1.0 release with 500+ cards, 100+ relics, 25+ puzzle stages, and full character storylines. The developer has maintained a high-cadence update schedule since launch, shipping multiple feature patches and balance updates in May and June, followed by major content updates in late June and late July. On June 26, 2026, Version 1.06 introduced "Phase IV" — the game's most substantial post-launch content addition — along with a detailed development roadmap stretching through the end of 2026. On July 31, 2026, Version 1.07 delivered on the first roadmap milestone by adding the new "Purple" playable color type with its own exclusive cards, mechanics, and deck-building options. The July 31 update also restated plans for more playable characters, new color types, additional cards, enemies, random events, and story updates still to come. The roadmap published on June 26, 2026 outlines two further milestones that remain unshipped as of September 18, 2026: Version 1.10 (targeting October 2026), described as a mid-content update with expanded enemies, new relics, random events, and deck variety improvements; and Version 1.12 (targeting December 2026), which will introduce a paid DLC with new playable characters, new story content, and what the developer calls a "final chapter presentation." A supporter pack DLC was released on May 7, 2026, the day after launch. The most recent developer communication was on August 28, 2026, covering Steam Workshop skin mod support and performance improvements, and closing with a note that the team "will continue working on new content and further improvements." The developer remains actively engaged and on track with their stated roadmap.
