Gym Manager launched on July 31, 2024 and received a development roadmap on August 8, 2024 promising several features: 60 NPCs, new facilities, a Third Floor expansion, a Level 15 cap, a buyable home, and an interactive party house, with updates planned every 2–3 weeks. Two major updates followed: November 20, 2024 delivered facility overhauls, the Locker Room, the Third Floor secret, and an additional level; July 24, 2025 brought significant visual improvements, a day/night cycle overhaul, performance work, and 12 new language translations. These updates fulfilled a number of the roadmap promises, but several items — notably the Level 15 cap, buyable home, and party house — have not been confirmed as delivered in any post-launch communication. The developer has not issued any statement declaring the roadmap complete or development finished. As of September 24, 2026, the last developer post was the July 24, 2025 major update — more than 14 months ago. The game's established major-update cadence (roughly every 5–8 months) has been substantially exceeded without any explanation from the developer. With unconfirmed roadmap commitments still outstanding and an extended period of silence from the developer, the status of the remaining planned content is unclear.

Gym Manager is a game where you get to manage, build, and expand your own gym, in opposition to the gym where you were previously employed. After being fired by the gym owner, you decided to get revenge and spend all your savings on opening a new gym, with the goal of making your former boss bankrupt.
As the main mechanic of the game, you will have to manage, build, and expand your gym. You can buy new equipment, upgrade existing ones and sell supplements. You can also expand your gym by demolishing walls, buying new decorations, and opening facilities like a sauna, massage salon, solarium, and locker room. Meanwhile, you must protect your gym from potential danger, keep the gym clean and manage your members.
Outside of managing your gym, you can engage in various activities in town, including flirting with girls, sabotaging the competition gym, partying, buying cheaper equipment in a second-hand store, doing illegal business with a shady guy in the backstreet and lockpicking and stealing from the town while avoiding the police.
