Evaluation
On August 28, 2024, the developer posted a formal notice announcing the retirement of Gym Tycoon from sale. In that post, the developer explained that development had stalled since 2021 due to running out of money and inspiration, and that after three years of hoping to return to the project, they made the decision that development would not continue. The game has since been removed from the Steam store and can no longer be purchased — confirmed by the store data showing no available purchase options. The game was in Early Access at the time it was delisted and never reached a 1.0 release. Existing owners can still play what was available, but the project has been permanently abandoned with no further updates or content planned.
