Halcyon Days at Taoyuan

Halcyon Days at Taoyuan launched on January 19, 2026 and has been receiving consistent updates from its four-person developer team. The game shipped its first major update, V1.1 "Gardening Version," on June 15, 2026, adding flowers, ceramics, trees, a second farm area, new wines and brewing content, expanded NPC dialogue, and a redesigned fishing mini-game. This was followed by V1.1.1 on July 24, 2026, which added a dedicated flower-accessory clothing slot, an expanded garden decoration system with bamboo, pavilions, fish ponds, and rockeries, and improved controller support. As of August 18, 2026, the developer posted the V1.1.2 patch notes and explicitly confirmed that V1.2 "New Life" is now in active content production, with a target launch before the Spring Festival (around January 2027). V1.2 will introduce an overhauled economic system with universal currency and NPC-affinity-based barter rates, a new "Wishing Pond" system, seasonal scenery that changes the village's visual appearance and NPC routines across all four seasons, a series of "household chores" quests, and "Village Construction" quests that let players reshape the village itself. The developer described V1.2 as a first-anniversary celebration shaped by player feedback. Two additional mid-sized updates announced in the V1.1 release notes remain outstanding: "V1.1.X Chinese Garden System" and "V1.1.Y Hearts Entwined" (expanded post-marriage NPC schedules and dialogue). All four currently listed DLC packs are released. The developer noted in May 2026 that they will not run further crowdfunding campaigns, but this was framed as a logistics decision for the small team — not a statement about ending game development, which they have continued to confirm is ongoing.
