Evaluation

Harvest Seasons launched on February 23, 2018 as a free-to-play idle/city-building game developed by a two-person studio. In the weeks following launch, the developer was active with bug fixes and a couple of feature patches — the last recorded update was a quality-of-life patch on April 5, 2018. After that date, there are no further developer communications of any kind in the news record. The game shipped with three DLC bundles on launch day (a Starter Bundle, Harvest Bundle, and Advent Calendar), all of which have been released since day one. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The developer's post-launch communication pattern was entirely concentrated in the first six weeks after release (February 23 – April 5, 2018) and consisted of hotfixes, balance tweaks, and small feature additions. There was no sustained cadence of major content updates beyond that initial window. The most recent developer communication on record is April 5, 2018 — more than eight years before today's date of June 27, 2026. The launch post mentioned a list of ideas for future content, but no specific commitments were made, and no follow-up content or communications ever materialized after April 2018. With no unreleased DLC, no outstanding developer commitments, no post-launch content cadence, and over eight years of complete silence from the developer, the game is best understood as having reached its final state in early April 2018.
Evidence
Quality-of-life patch adding dungeon timer visibility, in-game achievement list, and blueprint counts. This is the last recorded developer communication of any kind.

About this game

Start a new city with the basics, amass your resources, spend them on buildings and upgrades, get more resources, build a bigger city! Soon you'll be unlocking auto-run buildings to generate resources while you're gone, earning skillpoints to permanently upgrade your stats, and prestiging into new seasons. How many seasons can you reach?

5 Different Resources to Farm
Gather wood, produce, ore, skins, and fish.

Over 25 Buildings
Build out your city with your resources. Then fulfill building requests to start leveling the buildings up to earn more.

Buy Hundreds of Upgrades
Upgrade your resources and your city to get more. Start unlocking Skillpoints to permanently boost your game. Collect blueprints for buildings to permanently boost their stats too.

Manage your Resources
Do you spend everything you own on upgrades, fulfill some building requests, or maybe save up to afford the next new building?

Explore the City
Unlock things like a Port to take out-of-town requests, auto-run buildings to auto-generate different resources, and even a dungeon to send expeditions for treasure.

Free to Play, NOT Free to Gouge
No loot crates! Instead, we're much more into bundles (all DLC!), and the in-game gem store is more like Animal Crossing where the inventory changes every day. Other than some one-time purchase bundles, there are NO gems for sale! No repeat gems to keep buying. Earn them in-game instead through daily quests and achievements!
