HEADLINER launched on October 3, 2017 as a self-contained, short-form narrative adventure with multiple endings. The developer shipped a handful of post-launch patches in the months following release, adding Mac/Linux support, 32-bit compatibility, translation support, and trading cards — all maintenance and polish work rather than new story content. No additional story DLC, expansions, or major content updates were ever released for this game. In December 2017, the developer mentioned work on a "next episode," and by August 2018 a sequel — Headliner: NoviNews — was announced and subsequently launched on October 23, 2018. The sequel is a separate standalone game on Steam, not DLC or an expansion to this title. The last developer communication for this game was a language support patch on May 17, 2019. There is no unreleased DLC listed, no roadmap or outstanding content promises, and no developer statements suggesting further updates. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has remained so.
