Heaven Dust launched on February 26, 2020 as a self-contained survival horror game. The developer shipped one notable post-launch update on May 1, 2020, which added a new ending, new weapons, and items. That appears to be the last substantive content added to the game itself.
From that point, the developer's focus shifted entirely to the sequel, Heaven Dust 2. The studio announced it in April 2021, released a demo in June 2021, and launched it on January 6, 2022. All developer communications since May 2020 have been about the sequel, not the original game.
There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no roadmap for Heaven Dust. The store description presents the game as a complete, self-contained experience ("a small package" and "a love letter to classic 90s survival horror games"). Background story
In 1970, a scientific investigation team found a new virus in the blood samples from a primitive tribe called "Torkue" in New Guinea.
Some scientists think it will help to reveal the secret of immortality and they called it "Heaven Dust".
It turns out that it's not really a gift from Heaven, it opens the gate to hell instead.
After the research center in New Guinea was destroyed in an accident related to the mutant virus, they brought "Heaven Dust" to the USA, then the researches were carried out entirely by their subsidiary company StarDust.
