Hellslave launched on May 26, 2022 as a dark fantasy dungeon crawler from solo developer Baptiste (Ars Goetia). The game received post-launch bug fixes and balance patches, and its only DLC — a soundtrack — was released on December 14, 2023. No additional DLC has been announced or listed for the original game. Since mid-2025, all developer communications have been focused on the sequel, HellSlave II: Judgment of the Archon. The sequel was revealed in May 2025, reached a core content milestone in September 2025, received a gameplay deep-dive update in October 2025, had a Q3 2026 release window announced in April 2026, and launched on August 4, 2026. A follow-up post on August 14, 2026 outlined the near-term patch roadmap for HellSlave II specifically, with no mention of any new content for the original Hellslave. A giveaway campaign in June 2025 (where Hellslave was offered for free) prompted the developer to ship a fresh balance and bug-fix patch in June 2025 — the most recent update to the original game — but this was maintenance work driven by the influx of new players, not a signal of new content development.
