Helltaker

Helltaker is a free-to-play short puzzle game that launched on May 11, 2020. The developer (vanripper) shipped a handful of bug fixes and quality-of-life patches in the weeks following launch. On May 11, 2021 — exactly one year after release — the developer shipped a surprise anniversary update adding a new bonus chapter, skippable action sequences, new music, and updated artbook content. That is the only major content release in the game's history, and the last developer communication of any kind. There have been no posts, patches, announcements, or roadmaps since May 11, 2021. The sole DLC (an artbook + pancake recipe) shipped on launch day and has no unreleased follow-ups. The store description describes the game as a self-contained experience with no mention of future content or ongoing updates. Given that the anniversary update was a one-time celebratory addition and the developer has been silent since May 11, 2021, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
