OctoFurry launched on January 31, 2020 and received a series of post-launch updates throughout 2020. The developer shipped three major free content expansions: a difficulty and UI update shortly after launch, the Male Characters Expansion on April 24, 2020 (adding 5 new characters, 10 plots, and 5 scenarios), Infinity Mode on May 25, 2020, and finally the Holiday Characters Expansion on December 23, 2020 (adding two new playable stages as a "gift" to players). Notably, in the April 2020 update post, the developer stated "We're still completing our product, so expect to see more free expansions in the future." However, the Holiday Characters Expansion in December 2020 appears to have fulfilled that promise — and no further updates, announcements, or developer communications have appeared since December 23, 2020. The last developer post of any kind was on December 23, 2020, and the established update cadence (roughly every 1–7 months) has been silent for over five years as of June 2026. All listed DLC (an 18+ content pack) was released on launch day. No unreleased DLC appears on the store. The developer has not announced any future content since the Holiday expansion, and the extended silence well beyond any reasonable continuation of the 2020 update pattern strongly indicates the game reached its final state with the December 2020 update.
