Hentai vs Virus: I Am Waifu

Hentai vs Virus: I Am Waifu launched on May 14, 2020 and received several patches through early 2021. The developer made a clear statement in September 2020 that there was "no sense to update the current game" and directed players wanting more content to a sequel, Hentai vs Evil: Back 4 Waifus. This effectively communicated that this game was being wrapped up in favor of the next title. The final update to the game itself arrived on March 6, 2021, adding quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Since then, all developer activity has been news posts advertising entirely separate games in their catalog — a new anime shooter (May 2022), a sci-fi hentai game (December 2022), and a horror game (December 2023). None of these posts announce any new content for this game. There are no unreleased DLC listings and no roadmap or promises of future updates. The game shipped as a modest, self-contained product and the developer explicitly signaled its completion in favor of a sequel over four years ago.
