HOLE launched on November 28, 2024 as a small single-player FPS with 3 stages and 4 guns. After launch, the developer shipped several patches and one meaningful content update — version 1.0.3 on March 13, 2025, which added melee attacks, new enemy types, new weapon parts, and Chinese localization. On March 31, 2025, the developer explicitly stated that future updates to HOLE will consist mainly of bug fixes, and that they do not plan to add new stages or weapons. They explained this decision was made to focus development resources on a new FPS game that will build on HOLE's combat system. This is a clear, direct statement that the game's content development is finished. Following that announcement, the developer released only two small patches: gamepad support in April 2025 and a gamepad bug fix in June 2025 — consistent with their stated maintenance-only intent. No new stages, weapons, or content have been added since March 13, 2025, and none are planned.
