Horizon Shift

Horizon Shift launched on May 29, 2015 as a complete, finished arcade shooter. The developer shipped a handful of post-launch patches — including a significant controller option added on December 15, 2015 — but no paid expansions or named content updates beyond the launch-day soundtrack DLC. The only DLC listed on the store is the soundtrack, which was released on launch day. Developer activity after December 2015 shifted entirely to new projects: the follow-up game Hyper Bounce Blast (released May 2016) and later Horizon Shift '81 (a standalone sequel released on Nintendo Switch in December 2018). The last communication that touched on Horizon Shift itself was the December 2015 controller patch. No future content, roadmap, or expansion has ever been announced for Horizon Shift. The developer's own posts describe Horizon Shift '81 as a "sequel," confirming that the original game's story is closed. The game launched as a finished product and has received no content additions beyond the initial release.
