Hot Lava

Hot Lava launched on September 19, 2019 and received a sustained series of major content updates through 2023. The documented major releases were: the Winter Update with the GAT HQ world (December 11, 2020), the Journey map update (August 27, 2021), the Mutant Mayhem characters update (January 19, 2022), the Fall Update expanding Rocco's Arcade (November 22, 2022), and the EXO-CLASH update with new characters and a weekly course mode (June 15, 2023). That EXO-CLASH update also noted the team would "keep working on ways to make our game even hotter," but this appears to be a general sign-off rather than a specific commitment to named content. Since the EXO-CLASH update on June 15, 2023, the only official communication has been a minor hotfix on October 3, 2023, which addressed small visual and rank-unlock bugs. There have been no further developer posts of any kind since October 3, 2023 — now nearly three years of silence. The game's major content releases were spaced roughly every 6–12 months; three years without any major update or announcement substantially exceeds that historical pattern. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The 2021 "Year 2" roadmap (NEWS-5) outlined four phases of updates that all appear to have shipped across 2021–2022. No new roadmap or outstanding commitment has been communicated since. The store description makes no reference to upcoming content. All of this points to the game having concluded its post-launch content cycle with the June 2023 EXO-CLASH update, after which only minor maintenance was performed.
