Hotel Sowls launched in Early Access on December 4, 2018 and reached its full 1.0 release on December 31, 2019. The full release added a new ending, additional achievements, new maps, and Japanese language support — completing the content promised during Early Access. The only DLC ever released was the Hotel Sowls Soundtrack, which shipped on February 2, 2019, and is already available. No additional DLC has been announced or listed as unreleased on the store.
Since the full release in December 2019, the developer has posted no further updates to Hotel Sowls itself. Their two most recent communications — from August 2023 and March 2024 — confirm they have moved on to developing a new game called Cheese Moon. This signals that Hotel Sowls is a completed, self-contained product and not receiving further content investment. The game shipped as a finished narrative adventure with multiple endings, and there is no indication from the developer that any additional content is planned.
