Idle Game Simulator is a free-to-play joke/novelty idle game released on July 17, 2024. The developer (Dogloaf) shipped two feature patches after launch: a larger "Idle Games Fest Update" on February 3, 2025, which added offline progress, prestige mechanics, new achievements, and quality-of-life improvements, followed by a minor tuning patch on March 3, 2025 that adjusted prestige formulas and fixed small bugs. There have been no developer communications of any kind since March 3, 2025 — over 17 months ago as of today (August 30, 2026). The store description reads as a tongue-in-cheek product that is complete by design ("This is idle in its purest form"), and the developer has made no announcements of future content, roadmaps, DLC, or additional updates. Given the nature of the game, its small scale, and the extended silence following what appear to be two polish passes, the game reads as a finished product that received a round of post-launch refinement before the developer moved on.
