Scratch Inc. launched on September 17, 2025 as a free-to-play idle/incremental game. Since the previous evaluation in June 2026, significant new developer activity has changed the picture considerably. On September 11, 2026, the developer announced a new seasonal events system coming to the game [NEWS-2]. The first event, "Candy Inc." — a Halloween-themed take on the main game with its own progression, leaderboards, and exclusive rewards — was confirmed for October 2026, with the developer also stating they hope to have another event ready for the winter holidays. On September 25, 2026, update 1.4.03 shipped [NEWS-1], delivering the seasonal events framework, overhauled leaderboards, and UI improvements, with the Candy Inc. event itself set to go live on October 1, 2026. This means the game now has a clearly communicated pipeline of additional content: an imminent Halloween event (October 1, 2026) and a planned winter holiday event. The developer has also teased an entirely separate game in the same September 11 post, indicating the studio remains actively engaged. The game is no longer in a "launched complete" state — the developer has explicitly committed to ongoing seasonal events and has shipped the infrastructure to support them.
