Idle Pins is a free-to-play incremental game developed solo by Arkshija, released on October 16, 2021. The developer has maintained a steady stream of seasonal events and content patches since launch, including recurring Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day events, as well as substantive updates adding new pins, systems, and quality-of-life improvements. The key piece of announced-but-undelivered content is the "Fishing Update," a major update that the developer has been building toward for over a year. It was first referenced in the Halloween 2024 post on October 26, 2024, then again in the Halloween 2025 post on November 3, 2025, and once more in the Christmas 2025 post on December 24, 2025. Each of those seasonal events specifically awarded exclusive Fishing Tank decorations that players would be able to use once the Fishing Update arrives. The Halloween 2025 post also noted that early performance improvements were included specifically to prepare for the Fishing Update. As of October 1, 2026, the update has not shipped. What makes the situation uncertain is the silence since December 24, 2025. Prior to that, the developer was posting consistently — seasonal events landed in February 2025, October 2025, and November 2025 — but there has been no developer communication of any kind in the more than nine months since the Christmas 2025 post. The Fishing Update remains undelivered and no explanation has been provided for the pause in activity. Given the developer works on the game as a solo hobby project, extended gaps are plausible, but the combination of a named, long-promised update still outstanding and nine-plus months of silence means the status of that content cannot be confirmed.
