Idle Wizard

Idle Wizard launched on January 24, 2019 and has been in continuous, active development ever since. TwoWizards has shipped at least six named major updates post-launch — most recently the "Jewel of the Realm" update (version 1.82.0) on August 2, 2026, which introduced an entirely new Town-building system. The game also received a major Expeditions rework in March 2026, a Pantheon Memetics feature in November 2025, and the Shards of Heaven expansion in February 2025, among many other updates. Crucially, the developer published a detailed 2026/27 roadmap on February 24, 2026, then refreshed it with an interim update on August 10, 2026 — just six days before today's assessment. This update explicitly names multiple phases of planned content still to come: Phase 2 (the Delve auto-battler system), Phase 3 (The Research talent tree), Phase 4 (Wizard Tower upgrades), plus a sound design rework, an Imprints rework, and a "special surprise." The August 10 post makes clear that the just-shipped Town is only the first step in a multi-part expansion called "Polis Arcana." Four paid DLC packs have all been released, the most recent on June 17, 2026. The developer is actively communicating and shipping content, and has explicitly laid out a substantial pipeline of named features ahead.
