Incremental Factory

Incremental Factory is a solo-developed Early Access factory/incremental game that has been actively evolving since its January 2024 launch. The developer, Significant Steak, has maintained a consistent cadence of major content releases: Update 0.7 on August 26, 2024 (a near-complete game overhaul), the Megafactory Update 0.7.50 on January 6, 2025 (introducing 100,000-parcel scale factories and nuclear power), Beta 0.8 ("The World Update") on February 13, 2026 (adding a hex-based world map, ships, logistics networks, and military expansion), and most recently v0.9 beta launched on July 19, 2026, introducing "Incremental Factory: Infinite" — a new graph-based game mode built on a multithreaded simulation engine with a stated goal of enabling player-created game modes and modding. A feature patch (0.9.0.1) followed just four days later on July 23, 2026, fixing progression blockers and improving nuclear reactor mechanics. In the v0.9 announcement, the developer stated: "v0.9 begins the era of game modes. Infinite will be my main focus first." This is a clear, forward-looking statement about ongoing development priorities. The developer also described rebuilding "large parts of the game from the core outward" with "the ultimate goal of enabling player-created game modes and even modding" — indicating substantial future work is planned. The last developer communication was on July 23, 2026, just 35 days before today's assessment date, confirming the developer is actively engaged.
