Evaluation

INDUSTRIA 2 launched on April 29, 2026 as a complete narrative FPS, but the developer (Bleakmill) has been open about the fact that the game shipped with unfinished elements, and they are actively working to bring those areas up to standard through post-launch updates. Since launch, five patches have shipped addressing crashes (especially on AMD hardware in DX12 mode), save bugs, keybind issues, and other technical problems. The developer confirmed in the May 29, 2026 update that Update 6 would be "the first content update." On September 18, 2026, Bleakmill published a detailed devlog outlining what Update 6 (targeting October 2026) will deliver: significant environment art overhauls for the second half of the game (the ATLAS Wall, Inner City of Vevelstad, Apartment Complex, and Balstad Outskirts areas), a brand new weapon, final 3D models for ATLAS architecture and weapon attachments, expanded sound design, and a major performance improvement reducing RAM usage from up to 15 GB down to 4 GB. The developer explicitly noted that the second half of the game currently suffers from "incompleteness," and that Update 6 addresses "most (not all)" of the lacking levels. Critically, the same post confirms that Chapter 3's full environmental overhaul is reserved for a subsequent Update 7, meaning the developer's own improvement roadmap extends beyond Update 6. The developer states directly: "We won't stop there. While this update gets most of Chapter 2 into a good state, Chapter 3 won't get a big makeover with this one... That will happen in Update 7." There are no announced DLC or expansions — this is a self-contained narrative game. The ongoing updates represent Bleakmill continuing to bring the game to its intended finished state rather than expanding its content beyond the original scope.
Evidence
Developer devlog for Update 6 (planned October 2026) details major environment art overhauls for the game's second half, a new weapon, final 3D models, expanded sound design, and performance improvements. Post also confirms Update 7 will follow to overhaul Chapter 3 environments.

Developer explicitly states the 'biggest issue of this game, by far, is the incompleteness of the second half of the game,' and that Update 6 gets 'most (not all) lacking levels properly set dressed,' with Chapter 3's full makeover coming in Update 7.

About this game

Years after the events of the prequel INDUSTRIA, Nora is stuck in a parallel dimension, far away from home. Trapped between machine-built walls, she survives alone in an abandoned chapel near the coast.

Just before she can evade the hostile parallel dimension and return home to 1989 East-Berlin, a chain of unforeseen consequences pull her back into the pulsating heart of the artificial intelligence ATLAS.

Nora soon comes to the realization that she cannot evade her past and must face the haunting responsibility that lies within it – her involvement in the creation of the uncontrollable A.I.

  • Cinematic audio: Full voiceover, dynamic music and detailed sound design are merged together by real-time audio reflection through Wwise
