Industrial Annihilation

Industrial Annihilation entered Steam Early Access on December 10, 2024. At launch, the developer (Galactic Annihilation Inc.) was transparent that the game was released "on the earlier side of the development cycle," with gameplay, visuals, audio, and balance all described as works in progress. They published a roadmap outlining the content and systems still to come. Following launch, the team was reasonably active, posting multiple updates through December 2024, January 2025, and into April 2025 — fixing bugs, adding new features like the Schematics system, and adjusting balance. The most recent developer communication is a feature patch posted on April 4, 2025. Since April 4, 2025, the developer has posted nothing — no patch notes, no roadmap updates, no community announcements. As of June 22, 2026, that represents more than 14 months of complete silence from a studio that had previously been communicating regularly. The game remains in Early Access, the roadmap content has not been declared complete, and no 1.0 release has been announced or delivered. The developer has also not communicated any reason for the extended silence, such as a studio restructuring or publishing change. The Kickstarter announcement from August 2024 noted that Galactic Annihilation Inc. is an independent, self-publishing studio, which makes the prolonged silence more notable — there is no separate publisher that might be communicating on their behalf. Given the outstanding roadmap commitments and the extended communication gap, the current status of development cannot be confirmed.
