Evaluation

Outworld Station launched out of Early Access on May 5, 2026, with a substantial 1.0 release that completed the main storyline and added several new locations, modules, ships, and systems. Both at the March 18, 2026 announcement and again at launch, the developer was explicit: "this will NOT be the end of updates to the game — we still have a massive amount of awesome new stuff we want to add." The developer has backed up that statement with a consistent post-launch update cadence. Feature patches shipped throughout May and into June, culminating in Version 1.1 on June 24, 2026 — a substantial named update adding Ship CPU Control, multiple new Mk 2 and Mk 3 factory tiers, new tech upgrades, and a range of quality-of-life improvements. This was followed by Version 1.1.1.0 on July 22, 2026, which added a new Mk 2 Manufactory building, Blueprint Folders, an Advanced Freighter View, two new alternate recipes, Italian language support, and more. The developer is clearly in active post-launch development, shipping meaningful new features and content roughly every 2–4 weeks since the 1.0 release. No specific future DLC or named expansions have been announced, but the sustained update pattern and the developer's own stated commitment make clear that development is ongoing with no end announced.
Evidence
Version 1.1.1.0 shipped with a new Mk 2 Manufactory, Blueprint Folders, Advanced Freighter View, two new alternate recipes, Italian language support, and numerous bug fixes — the most recent developer communication.

About this game

Welcome to the TAU System, Station Commander!

Build, expand and exploit every resource you can to construct a planet-spanning space-based industrial complex the likes of which the galaxy has never seen.

Construct Robot Freighters, Wormholes and even harness the awesome power of Antimatter in your quest for ever-greater industrial mastery.

Atomize asteroids, mine ores, deploy cloud-miners and more to gather raw materials ready to be processed into advanced materials, items and parts.

Set up elaborate supply-chains, automate resource-gathering and optimize your stations to fulfill your objectives as efficiently as possible.

Construct Starships to complete objectives and unlock ever-more-advanced technologies to aid you on your mission to bring this hostile alien star system to heel.

Civilian and Military vessels will need vastly different and more complex construction techniques - some more dangerous to you and your station than others.

Found multiple stations across numerous planets in order to exploit rare resources and connect them together via wormhole to create interstellar supply chains.

But beware: you are not the only force in this alien star system and you'll need to protect yourself and your station to thrive out here.

Recover mysterious alien artifacts along the way and use them to unlock powerful upgrades for your Station and Drone - letting you take the fight to anything that stands in your way.

Upgrade your weapons, add shields or afterburners to navigate hostile areas with ease, or increase your station power and production efficiency.

Join forces with up to 4 players in online PVE co-op mode and share exploration, combat and construction tasks between you.

Share tasks and to-do lists between your team to fully maximise efficiency.
